Boy’s Bedroom Ideas: Winnie the Pooh

imageHi everyone! My sweet nephew has recently turned one and my sister is planning on decorating his room for him soon. She won’t mind me saying that he still co-sleeps with her and her husband, but he will soon be ready to move into his own room. As we were talking about boys’ bedroom ideas, I loved the idea of a Winnie the Pooh theme, especially since little Theo adores his Winnie the Pooh cuddly toy. I thought I’d write a post about the items I would totally purchase if I had a boy (maybe in a few years!!) and hopefully inspire a few people if they are looking to decorate their son’s (or daughter’s) bedroom. I also wrote a floral vintage theme Girl’s Bedroom Ideas post here.

I love the alphabet stickers pictured above – they are so fun, colourful as well as educational. Wall stickers are great as they are inexpensive and an alternative to committing to wallpaper!

Theo’s room has slanted roof windows and this Disney blind from Itzala would be perfect. It’s such an adorable design. Because it is a blackout blind, this will (hopefully!) encourage children to sleep through the night/nap well during the day.

The Winnie the Pooh personalised clock is so cute and I think it would make a wonderful gift. I also really like this wall art which would brighten up a plain wall.

These two items would be the finishing touches to my imaginary themed bedroom: a cute lampshade that’s not too overpowering and a soft fleecy blanket, so snuggly!

I hope you enjoyed this post and thank you for stopping by! XO

Mother & Daughter Style: Floral Dresses

image

Hello lovely readers! I thought a Mother & Daughter outfits post was long overdue, and even though this one wasn’t planned I took the opportunity on a walk we went on last week to get my husband to take some shots for me (luckily we were actually wearing some decent outfits!)

It was such a beautiful day so we decided to go to a country park near where we live for a walk along the river. Lizzy and I both wore pretty floral dresses and jelly sandals!

What I Wore: Dress: ASOS (love this red floral maxi dress) | Sandals: Emma’s Mode | Sunglasses: Ray-Ban

What Lizzy Wore: Dress: Gifted from Lizzy’s Godmother | Glitter Jelly Sandals: Next (similar)

I don’t have many red items in my wardrobe but I love this floral dress I purchased from ASOS at the beginning of the year. It’s so easy and comfortable to wear and the drop-waist gives it some shape. I also like how it is slightly longer at the back. These pinky-nude jelly sandals go with everything and add a little cuteness as well as a touch of bling! See up-close photos and a review of them here.

Lizzy’s dress is so sweet, I love the ditsy green and blue floral print and the frilly lace detail. The orange bow sets it off nicely and I put matching hair clips in her hair. I’m so pleased Lizzy’s hair is getting longer, I can’t wait to be able to plait it! The glitter jelly shoes are my favourite pair for Lizzy right now and she loves them too, she wants to wear them even when we’re just at home!

I’ll leave you with this view and a shot of the back of my dress, isnt the English countryside gorgeous? Thank you so much for visiting today! XO
