Toddler Style: Blue & Red Florals

Top: Cherokee @Tesco  | Jeggings: Next | Shoes: Matalan | Hair Clips: Ebay

Happy Weekend everyone! And Happy 2nd birthday to my beautiful sweetheart, I can’t quite believe Lizzy’s actually 2 today! We celebrated her birthday on Sunday with family, it was such a hectic day I didn’t even remember to get a photo of her outfit – I think I’ll dress her in it one day this week for next week’s post!

I haven’t done a Toddler Style post in a while, in fact I haven’t been blogging as much recently as life has just been so busy lately, but I’m trying my best to write at least one post per week.

Since we already celebrated Lizzy’s birthday last week, today is a chilled out day spent with my parents and this is what she’s wearing. None of the items are new but you can probably find similar things in the shops right now. The blue and green peplum top is so sweet and keeps her cool in the warm weather. This was one of my eBay bargains and was part of a bundle of tops I bought last year. The floral jeggings were 50p from a local car boot sale! If you haven’t been to one yet this summer you really should, some people sell pretty decent nearly new things for dirt cheap prices! I also bought some good condition toys at a fraction of the full price. The patent butterfly detail shoes are old from Matalan (but they have an almost identical new version), I love red shoes! They match the red flowers on her jeggings nicely. I’m finding these velcro strap style shoes are great and Lizzy can put them on and take them off by herself. I chose the dotty navy hair bows to match the dots on her top, this finished off the outfit perfectly!

Thanks for reading and have a gorgeous weekend! XO

ZAFUL Summer Dresses Wish List

imageHello there! Even though the weather has cooled down here in England recently and I’m not even going on a holiday abroad this summer, I’m still dreaming of sun, sea, sand and cute summer dresses. A girl is allowed to dream, right?

I recently came across a really great website called ZAFUL which sells trendy fashion for fantastic prices. They offer free worldwide shipping which is a bonus! I’ve found it so tempting to keep adding items to my basket! It’s been a while since my last Wish List so I thought I’d share some of my favourite summer dress picks. The Paisley print dress pictured above (here) is so pretty and is the perfect beach cover-up. I would also wear it as a tunic with leggings for a cute daytime or evening look. Check out the site for plenty more print dresses to browse.

imageThis white lace detail maxi dress (here) is so beautiful and would look amazing with a tan, although I would worry about it being see-through – nothing some nude underwear wouldn’t fix! Everyone needs a white dress for the summer, even though they’re not the most practical. This one would also make a great cover-up for the beach.

imageThis easy-breezy blue and white tribal print dress (here) would keep you cool on a hot summer’s day. It’s one of those dresses you can just throw on with a pair of flat sandals and you’re good to go. I love the tassels, the loose, flowy nature of it and the half-sleeves.

imageNot everyone would be able to pull off this red-hot mini dress (here) but I think it’s gorgeous! I love it. I would wear this for a few cocktails on a date night with the hubby!

That’s my Wish List – four dresses isn’t being too greedy is it? Now for more browsing, and maybe a little actual shopping….:)

Which of my picks are your favourite? Have you heard of ZAFUL before? Thanks so much for reading! XO

Nails of the Day: Red Bikini

This is my perfect red nail colour, it’s so vibrant and I love the name, I actually own a bikini in this exact shade! I’ve had this polish for way too long – the print has been rubbed off the bottle and you can see how little there is left inside, plus it’s gone quite gloopy – oops, definitely time for a re-purchase. I’ve been wearing pink and coral nail polishes a lot this summer and forgot how much I love red nails. So classic!

I applied the usual two coats of Bikini Red, then topped off with a coat of Revlon top coat which gives a lovely shine and helps to protect the colour. I find Revlon nail polishes usually last a few days before chipping.

With bold red nails like this, you can’t go wrong with a matching lipstick, this one is YSL Rouge Volupte Shine no.4.

I try to use a cuticle oil every night before I go to bed, after using hand cream to keep my cuticles and the skin around my nails moisturised. I hate having dry hands and there’s nothing worse than dry skin to ruin a nice manicure!

Do you love bright red nail polish as much as I do? Thanks for reading! XO
