Makeup Revolution Blush Palettes: Golden Sugar & Hot Spice

image

Hi guys, hope you’re well! I’ve been meaning to write this post for ages now, since I purchased these Makeup Revolution Blush Palettes a few months ago, and I’ve finally gotten around to doing it!

I was searching for a peachy blusher and came across the first palette, Hot Spice (pictured on the left) on the Superdrug website. As it was only ¬£6 for the 8 shades of blusher, and it had a few peachy-apricot shades that I was looking for I thought it was a bargain – it works out to just 75p per blush! Then I noticed the second palette, Golden Sugar and immediately thought: ooh! and I couldn’t resist buying this too, especially after reading some raving reviews! No regrets, either.

The blushers in the Hot Spice Palette are warm-toned and contain a mix of matte and shimmery shades, a couple of which can be used as bronzer or to contour, and there is one highlighting shade. The swatches show the top row then the bottom row. I really like all of these blushers and have used every single one, but my favourite is the third one, a pretty corally-peach tone. I quite like the packaging too, it’s sleek, simple and sturdy.

The blushers in the Golden Sugar palette are so pretty! There is only one matte shade in the whole palette so if you aren’t a fan of shimmer on your cheeks then this one isn’t for you, but if you love to create soft, girly makeup looks then this would be perfect! I love the third shade in this palette too, it looks purple but on the skin it’s a beautiful soft pink. The highlighter is gorgeous too, I never used to highlight before but now I do almost every time I put makeup on, it just adds that bit of extra polish to your look. Oh, please excuse the unsightly vein on my arm in the photo!

The pigmentation and colour pay-off of these blushers are great, you can either use a little or build up the colour for more dramatic looks. I would totally recommend both of these palettes – they are such good value and great quality too.

Thank you for reading! XO

Hello! I’m back again after another break from blogging, and thought I’d start with a cute outfit Lizzy wore the other day for a trip into town and then to the park. It was such a hot day and these photos were taken in the afternoon so excuse the messy hair and sweatyness!

It was so warm that she didn’t even wear the denim jacket at all that day. The cotton skirt has a sweet floral print and a lovely red trim around the hem. I paired it with a simple pink top which has cute lace detailing at the shoulders. I love these butterfly sandals – I find Next shoes tend to fit Lizzy really well and these are so comfortable for her.

Hope you have a great weekend! XO
