Red Lips!

I am so obsessed with this shirt! And can you believe it only cost £3.99 (new), including postage, from Ebay?! I am so pleased with my bargain purchase that I’m definitely going to buy more clothes from Ebay from now on. It did take a couple of weeks to arrive from China but worth it and the quality is not too bad either.

I obviously had to wear red lipstick with this shirt, and my cute red lips clutch finished off my ‘Red Lips is Everything’ look! I didn’t want to be overkill so I wore my purple shoes and coincidentally my nails are purple too (well, lavender.) I like the contrast of red and purple together.

I wore this outfit today, minus the clutch though as Lizzy and I went to meet a friend for coffee and scones, yum!

Shirt: Ebay (just search ‘red lips shirt’, a few sellers have the exact same shirt) | Jeans: ASOS : Shoes: Old (love these pointy ones) | Clutch: Lulu Guinness (mine is discontinued but she has some other cute ones here) | Lipstick: Elizabeth Arden Red Door Red

I hope you enjoyed this post and thanks for stopping by! xo

Mother & Daughter outfits: Pretty Florals

imageHi lovelies! I finally managed to get some photos with Lizzy to do another Mother & Daughter outfits post, all you mothers will know just how difficult this ‘simple task’ can be! Our outfits are all about pretty florals, and we wore these to our local playgroup the other day.

I love this loose-fitting cotton floral shirt as it’s super comfortable, easy to wear and such a pretty print. I paired it with simple indigo skinny jeans which I’ve had for ages and my cute embellished pink shoes, which are my favourite flats at the moment.

Here’s a closer look at the gorgeous detail on my shoes, and the lipstick I wore – Revlon Lipbutter in Strawberry Shortcake. I ate those macaroons as soon as I took this photo!

Lace Detail Jumper

image

I wore this outfit to take Lizzy to our local baby and toddler playgroup the other day which we try to go to twice a week.  I took these pictures while she napped after we got home, hopefully I’ll be able to include her in my next outfit post! But here are a couple of photos of her playing earlier that day:

What I wore:

The royal blue jumper is a great casual, everyday top that looks good with jeans but it’s lace panel adds interest. It’s from Yesstyle, this one is really cute too.  My skinny jeans (here) go with everything and I wear them all the time.  My black boots are a couple of years old from River Island, they are so comfortable (similar).  Here is a closer-up picture of them:

imageWhat Elizabeth wore:

Heart print top from H&M. This cardigan is really cute.  The striped skirt and boots are from Mothercare and the dotty bow hair clip that matched the colours of her top is from Ebay.  I love this striped dress from Gap.  One of the best things about having a girl is definitely the dressing up!

imageThis photo shows my makeup – it’s a simple and easy everyday look that I did using my Naked Palette and Rimmel Exaggerate liquid eyeliner. I polished off the look using a red lipliner and lipstick (YSL Rouge Volupte Shine no.4) .  I don’t wear foundation and prefer to just use concealer under my eyes and powder.  I might do a more in-depth post on my everyday makeup look, what do you think?  I didn’t do anything with my hair, I literally brushed it and that was it as my hair is naturally poker-straight.

imageThe jewellery I wore are some of my favourites – can you tell I love hearts and butterflies?  The gold earrings are from a trip to Dubai years ago, I adore them but they do jangle about a bit!  The necklace was a wedding gift from my parents which they bought in Hong Kong.  My mum asked me what kind of necklace I wanted and I said something with hearts or a butterfly and this is what they chose, and I absolutely love it.  It’s made from 3 tone gold which is really unique.
