Winter Accessories Wishlist

Hi everyone! The New Year has truly kicked in and I’ve been keeping the winter blues at bay by 1) Mentally planning my holiday later in the year (my brother is getting married in August here in the UK then having a Chinese Banquet in Hong Kong!) and 2) Doing lots of online window (and some actual!) shopping. I’ve recently come across a website ( based in New Zealand and even though they specialise in wedding and prom products, they have some really great things for everyday wear too. FYI, one NZ dollar is about 45p. I’ve scoured the website for my favourite accessories and created a Winter Accessories Wish List for you to ogle at!

I am obsessed with these super-cool leopard print sunglasses – think Gwen Steffani and Miranda Kerr. I particularly love this style because they have the adjustable nose pads which will fit my flat nose haha! Even though it’s winter we can still get the sunglasses out for those crisp sunny days, right? I’ve actually added these to my basket, I don’t know if I’ll be able to resist the temptation yet! Plus, they work out to be less than £10, and the website states shipping is free if you spend over NZD$59 (this may just be local shipping though).

These black skyscraper heels are definitely not for everyday wear, I’m not even sure I’d be able to walk in them but they are so pretty like a work of art! Suitable for a Valentine’s outfit, I think.

I love this red bow-detail bag, it’s so cute. I love that you could wear it over the shoulder, cross-body or by carrying the handle. The hot red colour would go perfectly with those leopard print sunglasses!

There are some really lovely affordable pieces of jewellery nz of nzdresses, mostly they are very glitzy and appropriate for weddings and other glamorous events, but this pretty rose gold flower and pearl drop necklace would look really cute with plain pastel tops and is something I would definitely wear.

Since I’ve been fantasising about my Summer holidays, this striped nautical tote caught my eye. It’s simple, practical and stylish and would be perfect for a casual summer outfit.

That’s it, I hope you enjoyed my Wish List as much as I enjoyed creating it! Thanks for stopping by today! XO

Disclosure: this is a sponsored post but all words and thoughts are mine 🙂

Mother & Daughter Valentine’s Outfits

imageHappy Valentine’s Day for Saturday everyone! Since Joseph will be working all day (and night) on the actual day, we went on an early Valentine’s meal yesterday with Lizzy.  I adore this dress from ASOS, it’s such a flattering, easy to wear pretty dress, and I can’t wait to also wear it in the summer.  I love the longer sleeves, the pretty red floral print and the slightly longer back.  I really like pairing purple with red and wore my purple shoes.  My dress also has a little purple on it.  It was quite a challenge taking these photos – Lizzy kept wanting to playing peek-a-boo with the sheer part of her dress!

What I Wore:

Dress: ASOS (on sale for £27!)| Shoes: George at Asda (old – similar) | Clutch: Lulu Guinness (mine is sold out but this one is also really cute)

What Lizzy Wore:

Dress: Christmas gift from her Godmother (thanks Aunty Olivia!) This one is adorable. | Cardigan: Mothercare (old – similar) | Shoes: Clarks in the Boxing Day sale, they have lime and gold versions here| Tights: Ebay | Hair clips: Claire’s image

My makeup was a pinky-mauve look and my lipstick is Boots 17 Dusky Rose (seems to be discontinued) which is a really lovely slightly metallic shade.  My pearl necklace was a Christmas gift from a few years ago and it’s from HSamuel.   Now let’s talk about this Lulu Guinness clutch!  Isn’t it just so cute? I love it so much!  I’ve wanted a red bag for so long and this was on sale and I had to have it.  I must have bagged one of the last few as they were sold out the day after I ordered it, sorry! But they do have a gorgeous similar clutch with a lipstick clasp.

Just a couple of pictures of Lizzy playing with my shoes and a balloon to end this post – thanks for reading and I hope you have a wonderful Valentine’s weekend!
