Winter Accessories Wishlist

Hi everyone! The New Year has truly kicked in and I’ve been keeping the winter blues at bay by 1) Mentally planning my holiday later in the year (my brother is getting married in August here in the UK then having a Chinese Banquet in Hong Kong!) and 2) Doing lots of online window (and some actual!) shopping. I’ve recently come across a website ( based in New Zealand and even though they specialise in wedding and prom products, they have some really great things for everyday wear too. FYI, one NZ dollar is about 45p. I’ve scoured the website for my favourite accessories and created a Winter Accessories Wish List for you to ogle at!

I am obsessed with these super-cool leopard print sunglasses – think Gwen Steffani and Miranda Kerr. I particularly love this style because they have the adjustable nose pads which will fit my flat nose haha! Even though it’s winter we can still get the sunglasses out for those crisp sunny days, right? I’ve actually added these to my basket, I don’t know if I’ll be able to resist the temptation yet! Plus, they work out to be less than £10, and the website states shipping is free if you spend over NZD$59 (this may just be local shipping though).

These black skyscraper heels are definitely not for everyday wear, I’m not even sure I’d be able to walk in them but they are so pretty like a work of art! Suitable for a Valentine’s outfit, I think.

I love this red bow-detail bag, it’s so cute. I love that you could wear it over the shoulder, cross-body or by carrying the handle. The hot red colour would go perfectly with those leopard print sunglasses!

There are some really lovely affordable pieces of jewellery nz of nzdresses, mostly they are very glitzy and appropriate for weddings and other glamorous events, but this pretty rose gold flower and pearl drop necklace would look really cute with plain pastel tops and is something I would definitely wear.

Since I’ve been fantasising about my Summer holidays, this striped nautical tote caught my eye. It’s simple, practical and stylish and would be perfect for a casual summer outfit.

That’s it, I hope you enjoyed my Wish List as much as I enjoyed creating it! Thanks for stopping by today! XO

Wedding Guest/Evening Dress Inspiration

Hi everyone! Can you believe it’s almost Christmas already?! I thought I’d do a post that’s not Christmas related, in case you’re looking for a little escapism. Maybe you have a wedding or a posh do coming up in the new year or even in the summer (I do, my brother is getting married in August!) and you’re already thinking about finding your perfect dress. If so, I hope you’ll be inspired here!

When the lovely people from Rosa Novias CA contacted me regarding a little collaboration I was at first skeptical as their website seemed to sell predominantly wedding dresses. However after browsing the site I came across some really beautiful, wearable occasion dresses at affordable prices. I’ve selected five of my favourite peices which I would wear myself, and they are all less than £85.

This pale pink A-line dress with lovely ruching at the neckline is a winner for so many occasions and I would definitely wear something like this for a wedding, particularly in the Spring/Summer. A pair of statement earrings and killer heels is all you would need to accessories this simple but elegant dress.

I love this deep purple strapless high-low hem dress! It would be a gorgeous bridesmaids dress but also can be worn as an evening dress or a cocktail party. I just wish I had one of those to attend, sigh! I’d wear it with my pearl necklace and earrings, very sophisticated.

This plum coloured satin bow detail dress is another one which would work as a bridesmaids dress, for a party or as a wedding guest. I adore the bow detail and the diagonal pleats on the skirt. Minimal accessories would let the dress do the talking here.

imageI really like the flowy sleeves of this pale blue V-neck dress. It seems modest but has a low back, so a stick-on bra would be needed!

This midnight-blue halter neck dress has a gorgeous sheer detail which  covers a bit more skin. I think it’s beautiful and a lovely length too. This would be great for a special dinner as well as a wedding party.

Do you have any weddings to attend next year? I’d love to hear if you liked my picks and thanks for reading!

P.S. This will probably be my last post until after Christmas, so have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! XO

My Christmas Wish List

With just one month to go, and all the Christmas adverts are on in full swing, it’s time to get into the festive spirit! I’ve already done half of my Christmas shopping (mostly online – I’ve been quite organised this year) and I’ve been thinking about all the things that I would like to receive! So here it is, my ultimate Christmas Wish List…

A DSLR Camera

Of the research that I’ve done, this Nikon D3300 seems to be the best entry-level DSLR to get (at the right price for us), and if I’m a good girl this wish might actually come true! Until now, I’ve been using my iphone for photos, which I dropped and broke last week and so have been using my mum’s old Samsung phone which doesn’t have the best camera! I can’t wait to start taking decent quality pictures both for my blog and for personal photos, especially of my daughter.

Classic Camel Coat

I’ve wanted one of these for a couple of years now, just a simple, beautiful, timeless wool camel coat like this one. But this year I’ll have to make do with coats from previous years.

Pretty Statement Necklace

I can’t believe I don’t own a statement necklace yet, they are absolutely everywhere. I’m more of a dainty jewellery kind of girl but I would love to receive something like this one from Next (hint hint family members who are reading this!) I love the gold toned chain and the pretty pastel coloured gems.

Travel Makeup Palette

I would be so happy if I got this palette by Dior for Christmas! It contains the most gorgeous shades that can create so many different looks, and would streamline my travel makeup bag. The zip-up case is beautiful too.

Chunky Cream Cable Knit Jumper

These seem to never go out of style and this one looks so cosy – I do love a good oversized jumper. I can just imagine wearing it with skinny jeans and my red Hunter boots for a casual look. I have to resist buying it though because I’ve just ordered a couple of jumpers that I’m waiting patiently to arrive!

Berry Heeled Boots

I’ve begun to realise that writing this wish list was probably not the best idea – I seriously want these boots! They look comfortable and smart, and are such a beautiful colour, love them! I’ll have to hope they don’t sell out and I’ll be looking out for them in the sales.

So that’s my Christmas Wish List, done! Which of these items are now on yours?

Thanks for reading! XO
